A multiswitch is a device that is used to distribute satellite TV signals to multiple receivers coming from a single satellite dish and LNB. This is usually used in conjunction with an LNB (low-noise block downconverter), a device that is mounted on a satellite dish that receives the radio waves from the dish.
There are different variations of this device. Some multiswitch have two inputs. Some have three or five. Five by eight multiswitches and a 17 by 8 multiswitches are also available in the market.
